Newark Castle Wedding Photographer – Amy and Dan
It was a glorious autumnal day to photograph a wedding. The leaves were in full colour and the sun was out. Amy and Dan booked Oehlers Photography for a Half Day Coverage. It began with Cathy photographing the bridal preparations at The Saracens Head in Southwell and Brian going to Newark Castle, to photograph Dan as he was greeting their guests. The coverage finished back in Southwell with a few photographs in front of Southwell Minster. After that we finished at The Old Theatre Deli for their wedding reception.
It was an unusual wedding ceremony as they wanted to have it in the dungeons of the Castle. We have never photographed in a dungeon before but there is always a first. The wedding ceremony went well and we managed to get some lovely photographs around the grounds of the Castle afterwards. After that we headed down to the River Trent as the sun was dipping to capture the castle in the background before heading back to Southwell for their reception.
