Kedleston Country House Photographers – Lois and Joe
It was a privilege being Kedleston Country House photographers for Lois and Joe’s wedding. Lois is a wedding photographer herself. To be part of her special day and to be trusted to photograph her wedding was amazing.
Lois and Joe’s whole wedding day took place at the fabulous venue of Kedleston Country House in Derbyshire. It was originally built in 1761 as the coaching inn for Kedleston Hall. It is surrounded by rolling countryside, which makes it an idyllic setting for a wedding.
Lois and her bridal party made good use of the accommodation that Kedleston Country House provides. Because of her experience of being a wedding photographer, Lois knew of what some of the challenges can be when photographing the preparations. To make it easier she organised a separate room for hair and make-up to the room where she was to put on her dress. This made sure that the photographs of the putting on of the dress were exempt from wedding clutter.
The day went really well without a hitch. Lois and Joe’s wedding ceremony took place in the light and airy ‘Orangery’ at Kedleston Country House. Lois was ‘given away’ by our good friend David Golding who is, also, a wedding photographer, so no pressure there.
The grounds surrounding Kedleston Country House are full of photo opportunities for couple wedding photographs. There is a rundown, rustic barn, country lanes and farmer fields to be made good use of. You can imagine as wedding photographers it was a delight to photograph Lois and Joe in these locations.
